Marvine Fountain Dublin

Marvine Wrenn Fountain Dublin was born to the late Lula Bell and Wilburt Fountain on November 5, 1960 in Alexandria, Virginia. She was the fifth born of six children.Marvine’s early education was obtained at Charles Houston Elementary and she graduated from T.C. Williams High School in 1979, she went on to earn a bachelor’s of Art Degree in Entrepreneurship and was enrolled in a Masters of Art Program. Marvine was a dedicated employee with the City of Alexandria for 13 years. She worked at the Department Community/Human Services where she was a program manager for one of the mental health programs. Marvine loved people and enjoyed watching them blossom and have fun. Her passion was her job and the clients that needed service. One of her trademark sayings to the clients was, “No matter what your problem or issue is, just come in and we will help”. Marvine was loved and respected by all of her colleagues. Marvine was a no-nonsense, independent, caring and truthful person. She believed in hard work and taking care of yourself, “handle your business now”. If you were in need of something or wanted to hear the truth Marvine was ready and available to give it to you despite your paper tissue feelings. She always had a witty comment and a way to make you smile, while lending a helping hand. Having Marvine as an associate, colleague, or friend was a gift to all who came in contact with her. Marvine is preceded in death by her brother, Allen Fountain and survived by two brothers, Darnell Fountain Sr., Calvin Fountain; one extended brother , William C. Hibler; two sisters Carolyn Fountain-Tidwell, Joan FountainWinston; one sister-in-law, Sherry Fountain; two brothers-in-law, Miguel Tidwell, Darryl Winston; three nephews, Darnell Fountain Jr., Jerom
