On Wednesday, October 2, 2013, after a long illness, Kathy LaVerne Lewis passed away peacefully at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA. She was the eldest daughter of the late Vonzella Lewis and the beloved sister of Karen (twin), Kimberly, George, Erica and Derek. Kathy never had children, but she loved, nurtured and raised many of her nieces and nephews as her own. A visitation with the family will take place at Woodlawn-Faith United Methodist Church, 7730 Fordson Road, Alexandria, VA. on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11.
