Ms. Joyce Marie Mangum Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ms. Joyce M. Mangum, age 61, of Alexandria, Virginia, peacefully transitioned on Thursday, May 12, 2022. She was born July 4, 1960, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Joe L. and Carolyn King. Joyce accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into her life many years ago. A true servant leader, she served on the Usher board of Mt Zion Baptist Church of Arlington, VA and Rock of Ages Baptist Church of Greenville, SC. She continued serving in her community as she helped whoever she could, whenever she could. Whether providing hot meals, a strong shoulder, or a listening ear, she brought a smile to all who were blessed with her presence. Joyce was a devoted, hardworking employee who touched the lives of everyone she worked with. From Bell Atlantic, SHARE, and finally her retirement from Virginia ABC, Joyce loved working and building relationships with so many amazing people. She was an active member of many bowling leagues, and a part of the 55+ Social Club. During her free time, she enjoyed traveling, eating out, visiting casinos, and most importantly, spoiling her grandbabies. Family was everything to Joyce. She leaves to cherish wonderful memories: her daughter, Brandi (Morris) White; sister, Denise King; brother, Joe L (Pamela) King Jr; two nieces, Jamika Helem and Kennise Baker; the three loves of her life, her grandchildren, Morgan, Brendan, and Langston White; a great-niece, Harper Stone, and a host of relatives and friends who will cherish the many memories shared over the years.
