Mrs. Adrienne Delores Diggs-Lee

Thursday, April 30, 2026; at home in Fort Washington, MD. and surrounded by her loving family, Adrienne Delores Diggs-Lee made her transition to eternal rest. Adrienne Delores Diggs-Lee was born on May 9, 1959 in Alexandria, Virginia to the late Lloyd Sr.and Barbara Diggs. She attended school in Alexandria, Virginia and graduated from T. C.Williams High School in 1977. After graduation Adrienne obtained a certification in the Healthcare field. Adrienne grew up as a member of Saint John Baptist Church, in Alexandria, Virginia where she served on the usher board and sang in the Angelic Choir. Later in life, Adrienne joined Star Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Triangle, Virginia where she also sang in the choir. Adrienne’s true passion was in the field of substance abuse recovery, dedicating herself to encouraging and supporting others. She worked for several different companies, including Gum Springs Health Department, Second Genesis, and Centera. Adrienne believed in seeing the best in everyone, understanding that everyone stumbles, but deserves a second chance, and this belief defined her mission. Adrienne treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved them without judgment, dedicated herself to making their days brighter, and encouraged them to always love one another. Adrienne spent her final days enveloped in the love of her family and friends. Even in her weakest moments, her primary focus remained on her loved ones, as she fought bravely to ensure that a smile remained on the faces of everyone she held dear. Adrienne is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Sr. and Barbara Diggs; brother, Steven Diggs; sister, Grace Coates; sisters-in-law, Vicky Diggs and Joni Diggs; one nephew, Lloyd Diggs III. Adrienne leaves to cherish her memory forever her husband, Leon Lee; daughters, Shakita Diggs-Barksdale (Antione) and Candice Diggs; one son, Jordache Diggs. She was also blessed with two bonus children, Lakisha Lites and Levon Lee. Grandchildren; Savoy Diggs, Cadence Diggins, Julius Diggins, Jr. and Grace Diggs. She is also survived by her loving and devoted siblings; brothers, Lloyd Diggs Jr. and Richard Diggs; one sister; Hope Mayfield (William). Adrienne also leaves to cherish her memory six nieces, eight nephews plus a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26
